New Swimmer Registration
Welcome to the Tucson J Stingrays!
This page is intended for swimmers who have completed a Stingrays assessment and received a group placement from the coaching staff. If you have not yet completed an assessment, please visit our Assessments page before completing the registrations below.
Before your swimmer's first practice, please complete each applicable step below. The entire process should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Step 1 - Register with the Tucson JCC
The Tucson JCC uses Daxko for Stingrays registration and monthly program dues.
- Visit the Stingrays registration page and select "Register for the Stingrays."
- Select the group assigned to your swimmer by the coaching staff.
- Click the blue "Register" button in the upper-right corner.
- Enter your phone number or email address to create or locate your Tucson JCC account.
- Complete the required information and registration.
All available months may be selected by default during registration. Please review your selections before completing registration.
Only register for the group assigned to your swimmer by the coaching staff.
Step 2 - Register for Commit Swimming
Commit Swimming is our primary team management platform. Stingrays families use Commit for meet entries, attendance, team events, volunteer credits, workouts, and team communication.
There is no additional registration fee for Commit.
Register through Commit Swimming
After registering:
- Take a few minutes to explore your dashboard and swimmer profile.
- Download the Commit - Team mobile app.
- Log in to the app using the same account information.
Important team communications may be sent through Commit to the email address associated with your account, so please make sure your contact information is accurate.
Step 3 - USA Swimming Membership
New USA Swimming Members
A current USA Swimming membership is required for all Stingrays swimmers, regardless of meet participation.
If your swimmer has never been registered with USA Swimming:
- Follow the Stingrays USA Swimming registration link below.
- Create a USA Swimming parent account, or log in if you already have one.
- Follow the registration process to add your swimmer and complete their athlete membership.
- Make sure your swimmer is registered with Tucson J Stingrays (TJCC).
If you already have a USA Swimming parent account, do not create a new account. Simply log in using your existing information.
If your swimmer has previously been registered with USA Swimming through another club, please follow the Current USA Swimming Members transfer instructions below instead.
Current USA Swimming Members
If your swimmer is currently registered with another USA Swimming club, they must complete a club transfer through Arizona Swimming.
Although USA Swimming has its own transfer function, please do not use it. Arizona Swimming requires athlete transfers to be completed through its own platform.
To complete the transfer:
- Visit azswimming.org.
- Navigate to Online Services → Athlete Transfer.
- Complete and submit the Arizona Swimming Athlete Transfer form.
You may also access the current transfer form directly here:
Arizona Swimming Athlete Transfer Form
The coaching staff can assist if you are unsure whether your swimmer needs a new membership or a transfer.
Step 4 - Join the Stingrays GroupMe
Commit is our primary team communication platform, but we also maintain a Stingrays GroupMe for last-minute updates and announcements.
After creating a GroupMe account, you may need to click the invitation link a second time to officially join the group.
Step 5 - Get Ready for Practice - Team Equipment and more!
Once the applicable registrations above are complete, your swimmer is ready to get started!
Every swimmer is required to bring their own gear to practice - please see the team handbook for group-specific gear requirements.
To purchase our team suit, required equipment, and more visit our online store with Champion Pool and Spa Supply!
https://championpoolandspasupply.ecwid.com/JCC-SWIM-TEAM-c193389028
Before the first practice, we recommend becoming familiar with the Stingrays website and reviewing your swimmer's group expectations, practice schedule, team calendar, and team policies.
Visit tucsonjstingrays.org (or click on the Stingray in the top-left) for team information and resources.
Swimmers should arrive at practice with a swimsuit, goggles, water bottle, and any other equipment requested by their coach.
Need Help?
Registration can involve several different systems, especially for families new to USA Swimming. If you have questions or run into any issues along the way, please contact Coach Evan
We're happy to help get everything squared away and get your swimmer in the water.
